What I believe about therapy

There are few things in this life more impactful than feeling seen, heard, and understood. I pride myself in furthering the de-stigmatization of therapy by creating an accessible, approachable, and authentic environment where you can be yourself. I believe in providing a safe, non-judgemental space for individuals to receive support and work towards healing. Utilizing elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy, I provide an individually tailored approach to each client. I believe in the strength of developing insight into your emotions + patterns, looking both backwards into our past and inwards into our present in order to heal wounds and create a brighter future. Everyone’s journey to healing looks different, and I am grateful to get to walk this path with you. My passion lies in working with those navigating generational trauma and supporting marginalized populations + POC communities. I have extensive history working with clinical concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mood disorders. Other special areas of interest are in helping those navigating life transitions such as divorce, interpersonal or family conflicts, and other high stress situations. My background in community mental health and continued connection to community-based efforts allows me to explore these themes through a social justice lense that promotes healing both for the individual and for those communities they belong to. My experience across the lifespan and eclectic approach to therapy promotes healing for those of all backgrounds, you will be embraced and welcome here.
