Throughout my career as a clinician, I have worked with a variety of adults and some adolescents experiencing different obstacles in their path such as life transitions, work-related issues, mood disorders, infidelity in intimate partner relationships, and social/family relationships. Additionally, I have extensive experience with individuals who struggle with post-traumatic stress, anxiety, emotional regulation, domestic violence or gender-based violence, human trafficking, personality disorders, and some forensic cases. My work in community mental health, as well as outpatient hospital settings, has allowed me to integrate various clinical approaches such as using dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, narrative therapy, psycho-education, and some expressive therapies. I believe our thinking patterns, emotions, and how we decide to behave or deal with hard situations as humans impacts our overall well-being.
